The 2015-2016 ISM-San Diego Board of Directors was installed at our Professional Development Meeting on June 23, 2015. The group was strengthened by the addition of new members and quickly got back to work. We held our annual planning session in August to determine how to make this year more valuable and relevant for our members. Great ideas were discussed and important decisions were made at that meeting; it is clear that the Board’s enthusiasm continues to grow. We hope to have additional opportunities for our members to connect and interact with us on social media outlets. We are also focusing on updating the sections of our website on a more regular and consistent basis in an effort to provide you with timely information.
Coordinating meaningful PDMs, including plant tours, and engaging more emerging professionals and students in our activities are top on our list of priorities. We also hope to collaborate with other local professional organizations to provide richer experiences for all.
I am looking forward to another exciting term working with dedicated volunteers supporting a talented and diverse group of supply management professionals.
